Electric Start Type Stator Plate
SOMETIMES KNOWN AS A MAGNETO. THIS IS A NEW 5 WIRE TYPE, THERE ARE LIGHTING COILS FITTED (yellow & white wires) WILL ONLY FIT ELECTRIC START TYPE ENGINES. ONLY FITS TYPE WITH STARTER MOTOR ON THE BOTTOM OF THE ENGINE AND DOES NOT FIT ONE ON THE TOP.

IF YOU SUSPECT YOUR STATOR IS FAULTY THE WAY TO TEST THE IGNITION SIDE IS USE A MULTI-METRE ON THE BLUE AND GREEN WIRES, YOU SHOULD GET OVER 100 OHMS RESISTANCE. IF THERE IS NOTHING ITS KNACKERED.
